Temi Sokunbi

As a Physiotherapist Intern, I enjoy working with a diverse clientele of all ages and believe in the bodys’ ability to heal through movement.

I graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos and later obtained a Masters’ Degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy practice (2012) from Sheffield Hallam University in the United Kingdom. I am a firm believer in lifelong learning with post-graduation courses in McKenzie Part A, B and C.

I have over 15 years’ experience (from Nigeria, United Kingdom and Canada) with an emphasis on musculoskeletal, neurological, women’s health and geriatric practice. I have a keen interest in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy due to the prevalence of chronic pain in the society and the supporting evidence for addressing other factors that may be contributing to the clients’ pain experience. I place a high value on the therapeutic relationship with my clients and my treatment approach is a mix of hands-on, exercise prescription and client education to name a few.

I love spending my free time reading books on various subjects from the history of civilization to mindfulness and the power of positive thinking.
